The illustration entails the story of a young black boy caught off guard by what seems to be the sound of police sirens in his direction, only to find out its an ambulance passing by him.
"I wanted to create a design that illustrates the daily lives of what boys that look like me have to go through. Although I am in LA a vast majority of the time, my residency is in the suburbs. Nevertheless, I am still scared to walk alone. That's how the design was born. It was created in a way to communicate the atmosphere we live in, no matter the area. You don’t have to live in the hood to be scared for your life." -Jordan, 17
